Glen Shackleton


Glen has been active with the Bytown Museum Board of Directors since 1999. Since 2001 he has been President. He’s also our resident paranormal expert as the founder of Haunted Walks of Ottawa. Despite many paranormal encounters in the Bytown Museum, some of them quite alarming, Glen continues to be actively involved in the Museum.

Glen has been President of the Museum during an exciting period of change and growth. He has seen the museum facing budget cuts that would have forced us to close our doors and has guided the Museum forward in helping secure and implement the Museum Sustainability Plan. 2007 was a particularly exciting year as the Museum underwent a complete transformation through our renewal process.

Glen is continuing on as President and his valued guidance will continue to see the Museum grow and flourish into the future.
