The Bytown Museum is always looking for
volunteers. If you are looking for a rewarding volunteer experience and
are interested in preserving and promoting Ottawa’s history, we want to
hear from you.
Our current volunteer projects include:
-
Events: Volunteers help with
several special events each year at the Bytown Museum:
Colonel By Day, opening receptions for exhibitions and
community receptions.
-
Programs: Volunteers help
host special programs at the museum and at off-site locations.
-
Research: Volunteers
undertake research into specific themes, events or artefacts that
highlight Ottawa's history.
-
Newsletter: Volunteers help
by preparing short items for inclusion in our quarterly newsletter,
Bytown News.
If you have a particular area of
interest, let us know, we will try to match your interests to priorities
and upcoming projects at the museum.
