The Blacksmith

Colonel By Day
August 6th
11am – 4pm

Be amazed by the fiery talents of one of Hephaestus’ own: the blacksmith will be on hand.

• See the ancient arts of lacemaking, spinning and weaving in action.

• Smell the cooking of the Widow Wilson wafting from her 19th century campfire kitchen.

• Hear the traditional music of the Ottawa Valley: tunes and songs of the First Nations, Fur Traders and Lumberjacks.

• Play olde fashioned games. Fun for the whole family!

• Taste the sandwiches, ice cream and cool drinks of the new Bytown Café.

• Reflect upon what it took to build Bytown into today’s City of Ottawa.
